How much does a home cost in Marbella?

What does it cost to buy on top of the price?

Expect about 9–10% for a resale home (7% transfer tax in Andalusia plus notary, land registry and lawyer) and about 13% for a new build (10% VAT, 1.2% stamp duty and fees). Try our cost calculator.

Can foreigners buy property in Marbella?

Yes. Everyone can buy property in Spain – also if you are not an EU citizen. You need a Spanish NIE number and a Spanish bank account, and we recommend an independent lawyer. We help you with all of it.

Do I pay ASBO Estates as a buyer?

Normally not. On the Costa del Sol the seller pays the estate agent’s commission, so our help is normally free for you as a buyer.
